HOW CAN I APPLY TAX EXEMPTION TO MY PURCHASE?

If you're considering making a tax-exempt purchase, it’s important to understand that not all purchases qualify for exemption, even if you're part of a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. 

 

Please note that tax exempt certifications must be presented prior to the completion of the purchase. Tax exemptions can NOT be applied retroactively.

We will require documentation of your state sales tax exemption issued by the respective tax authorities in your state.

W9's are NOT considered tax exempt certification.

 

HOW WILL I KNOW IF I'M ELIGIBLE FOR TAX EXEMPT? 

In many cases, state and local government entities, such as public schools, may be eligible for state sales tax exemption. If you're purchasing on behalf of a government entity, ensure that you provide the appropriate documentation proving your status to receive the exemption.

 

DO YOU ACKNOWLEDGE STATES THAT HAVE TAX EXEMPT HOLIDAYS AND/OR PERIODS? 

 

Yes! We're aware and do acknowledge some states, like Florida, offer sales tax holidays where specific items are temporarily exempt from sales tax. For instance, in Florida, there are tax-exempt periods during the summer months for back-to-school supplies, disaster preparedness items, and other qualifying goods.

  • Florida Sales Tax Holiday: This runs for most of the summer and covers items like school supplies and certain electronics. Be sure to check the details each year as the items eligible for exemption may vary.
  • Other states may offer similar tax holidays, so keep an eye on any special exemptions in your state.
